Indulge Me

Sometimes I figure it's okay to be proud of myself for something I've accomplished...
Tonight my brother Jon patiently helped me figure out how to add two songs to my playlist from my own computer.
These songs are two of ten that I recorded about four years ago with my brother-in-law Mark (track 10) and my other brother Justin (track 9 - I know, creative titles, but now that it's on I'm not about to try to figure out how to actually name them.)
When Izzy was a baby I decided that I wanted to try to make my own CD so I chose some favorite songs, worked with a voice teacher, borrowed a talented friend (thanks, Carla) for the piano, talked the boys into it, spent hours in a studio and viola, about six months later I had my own CD (for posterity sake of course). It was such fun and quite an educational experience as well.
As time has gone by I have kind of forgot how pleased I was with the final result. I listened to it again recently and I remembered how good it feels to check something happily off your list of "Things I want to do before I die".
These two songs were my favorites from the recording, they are at the top of my playlist, if you want to have a listen.

Okay, so I have no idea how to get to the top of your playlist, so I just left the songs on in the background while I was browsing other sites. Then this song came on that I didn't recognize right away. I was thinking, "These guys sing this song very well," and then I did a double take and said to myself, "Wait, that is SUNNY!"
Even though I was kinda waiting for the song, it still surprised me...in a good way. I am very impressed.

Very nice. You have such a natural voice quality to your singing, it is refreshing. I remember you told me once that you would let me listen to your CD, but I never got to.
I made a CD once in a studio. When David and I were dating I made a CD of love songs for him for Valentines...totally cheesy and I don't think I even know where the CD is...kinda sad :(

I don't remember being around Dad when she played those...weren't they on their mission?

It was super-fun to sing with you, Sun, as always, and even more fun to have a studio make me sound almost as good as you. Thanks for including me!

That was my favorite CD on our mission, Tab Choir came next. Of course you received the appropriate reaction from Dad when he heard it (thank goodness the tissues were handy).

Jen, go down to her playlist and scroll up to the top where you see track 10 and track 9 select and click play.

I love your voice, Sunny! Makes me miss singing in musical numbers with you. Remember "I Will Serve Thee?" Probably my favorite musical number EVER. Wish we could do that one again.

By the way, are you guys clogging this summer? We're going to be in town next week (kind of spontaneous), and I was wondering if you guys were holding class, because if you are....I want to go watch!
