My children decided last week that our girl cat is now a boy (named Shadow - poor cat, she has too many names) because she can't have babies.
Thinking this should probably be addressed I brought up the following point: I can't have babies from my body, does that make me a boy?
Ryan looked at me with surprise and said, "No, we can tell you're a girl because of your hair and clothes."
Well, there you have it. I laughed hard and let it go.

That's funny. I asked Seth how can you tell the difference between a girl and boy. He made his hands in cupping shape over his chest and said, "You have those things, so you are girl." He than informed me that is where babies eat when they are hungry.
I am just glad that we DO have hair and clothes that help us tell what people are, because it would be so awkward to turn people over to tell what gender they are.
ha ha! I love it. Life is so much easier and makes so much sense when we're little.
So, are hair accessories and girl clothes in (insert cat's name here)'s future?
Lucky for you that was the answer. I had a discussion just this morning that went very differently about what makes me a girl.
