I love the progression of these first pictures - at first I'm checked in and not in too much pain. You see pretty quickly how things move in the next pictures.
Aren't I lovely? It's pretty apparent that I'm quite drugged at this point and I was not sad about it. I did have the shakes however which wasn't all that delightful. I'm on oxygen because Thomas's heart rate kept dropping and apparently for a while mine was low as well so they tried oxygen, repositioning, and who knows what else. The ended up increasing my pitocin so that he would come more quickly because they were worried about him. The doctor showed up at 5:30 and although I was fully dialated and effaced the baby was still too high. He said that Thomas couldn't handle another two hours so he pulled out the forceps and helped our little one enter this world. It was pretty amazing. I was so glad it was finally over and he made it here safely. He is a very sweet, adorable boy and we are thrilled, delighted, entranced, etc to have him in our family.

It is so amazing to see how much he has changed already. You are amazing. Most people get to do their first pregnancy without the added bonus of three kids. You were fabulous! And I am glad Thomas is here. What a cutie.
What an awesome family you guys are.
