My Beautiful Girls in their Christmas Dresses

I bought these dresses for the girls for Christmas but when it was time for the Primary Program we decided not to wait any longer.  I'm not sad, it was fun to get pictures when it was still warm and besides, they love the dresses and they feel beautiful, so what's to be sad about?

Just imagine how much better these pictures would have been with Kristen's camera!!

Grandma Time

We love Grandma time.

Cool Dude

Thomas patiently sported these lens free glasses to entertain his siblings.  Forgive me for thinking he looks even more like my dad here - there are pictures of Grandpa in glasses like these on his wedding day.  Love it.

Feeding the horses

Scott and I took Izzy, Hannah (Fairbanks) Ashley and Thomas over to feed the horses in Grandpa's pasture.  Thomas snuggled with Grandma while the rest of us were in the chilly air.  Ashley loved feeding the horses, or at least she loved gathering apples from the ground and watching the horses eat.  Afterwards the girls all loved having a good swing.  The horses have gone for the winter so we'll have to wait until next summer to have more fun with them.

Zoo (or as Ashley calls it - the Petting Zoo)

We went to the zoo to kick off our Fall Break this year and we had a marvelous time!! The weather was great, the wildlife cooperated and so did my own little animals.  Ashley was in heaven.  Her favorite animal was the little monkey that she said she wanted to hold in her hands.  For the next several days she would cup her hands together and say that she wanted to go back to the petting zoo to hold the little monkey.
Here are my four adorable little monkeys.  I'm so lucky to be their mother.

It was fun seeing the baby elephant.  Ashley liked the live elephant better than the sneezing statue.

These pictures were before the sneezing began.

Izzy was having a great time, she just didn't want her picture taken.
It's great to have bigger siblings.  Since it was Ashley's first visit the big kids wanted to show her everything.
The kids all enjoyed the gorilla statue.

Even Thomas had a grand time.  But how could he complain when he had his dad around?!?
The kids liked the prairie dog holes.  I thought they were a bit claustrophobic which is why there are no pictures of me in them!

These aren't grand pictures but they are evidence of the grand time that everyone had on the playground!

Ashley and Jesus

The children were asked who they love and are thankful for at our kids music class this morning.  Ashley pipes up, "I love Jesus!"  I was feeling quite pleased until she overheard her friend say that he loves Jesus too.  She glared at him and said, "I love Jesus, Grant!" (emphasis on the "I")  Apparently she doesn't even like sharing Jesus.
