The Latest Izzy-ism

On Wednesday Izzy asked me if I knew what she wanted to be when she grows up. I quickly responded, "A wife and mother?" She started to cry and said, "I don't want to be a wife and mother when I grow up!" me: "What do you want to be?" Izzy (very sorrowfully): "A dog."

Wow. Pretty sure that wasn't worked into the creation plan. I tried to explain to her that she just will never be a dog and I reminded her of all the things that she couldn't do as a dog, like going to preschool, painting, coloring, and of course, yummy desserts. She replied, "Their food IS their dessert." (Of course.) Needless to say, she isn't yet convinced.

How much do you think you'd get paid to be a dog? It's too bad you can't major in that; I think the classes would be really fun. Poor Izzy, maybe she will find something just as good.

That really is funny! What an imagination she has! Kourtney comes home from church and talks about Izzy a lot, she is a cute girl.

Ha,ha that's funny. Poor Izzy. Maybe you need to get her a dog to take care of then maybe she won't want to be one :)

When my little sister Jamie was young she was convinced she would be a unicorn when she grew up, being the mean older sister that I was I encouraged her in this fantasy until one day she realized with devastation that unicorns didn't even exist.
When I was young, I used to tell my older sisters when they incessantly picked on me that I would grow up to be bigger than them and though they are 4 and 6 years older than me, I did! Dreams do come true...
PS...Congrats on the new church "gig" for Scott, though we are out of the ward we still had some bets on who was in line and Scott was at the top of the list. He will do a wonderful job and the fact that he is still keeping my old gramps of a father around to tell bad jokes in PEC is his first act of service :)

This is hilarious! I want to meet her, I think we would get along. I once told my mom when I was little that I wanted to be a dog, not a girl! I'm excited to get to know you better and clog it up right nice.
