Introducing the newest member of our family. He joined our family about a week before Christmas and technically he was a Christmas gift for Isabelle although he is really a family pet. Both Isabelle and Scott wanted a puppy but considering the fact that I would be the main one around and training, I talked them into a cat. Eventually we will have a dog, but I didn't feel like adding more work and stress to my family would be outweighed by the benefits. I was still fairly hesitant because cats are so tempermental. We needed a cat who would be patient with the little ones and allow Isabelle to snuggle it. I literally prayed to find this little one. He has been so good with the kids. He has been fun and snuggly and they love him (even Scott who doesn't like cats admits that he likes the little guy).
