Merry Christmas from the Johnsons!!

“What the Christmas?”, is what our Ashley Denne would say,
If she knew that Christmas, was only a few short days away.

We wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year Too,
We hope you remember the reason for the season, remembering Christ anew!

And so comes another volume, of the Scott & Sunny clan in Orem,
If you don’t like these updates, well, you can just ignore em!

This is actually volume two, as our computer recently gave up the ghost,
It was seriously brand new, maybe two months old at the most

So Thomas Glenn is 17 months old, and super cute and sweet,
Dad coming home is a real big deal, in fact, it is a treat.

He is always so happy & cheerful, even with ear infections or the flu,
He loves airplanes, cars, and balls, the museaum and the zoo.

He likes to dance and is very smart, that is just how we make em,
And just like his big little sister, he is learning how to “shake em”

Just like all his siblings, he will climb most anything,
At times, it causes hair to go grey, it really is obscene.

His little big sis Ashley, is now three soon to be sixteen,
She loves princess movies, playing with friends, & acts like she’s a queen.

She is adorable when she crosses the street, to play with a friend or two,
Her cute little legs move so fast, faster I’m sure than you.

She will dance and sing all the day long, with all the rhythm she has
But put her in front of a crowd she will freeze, and hide her pizazz

When reading scriptures each night, her cute little accent’s the best,

She is so lively & active, it seems she never takes a rest.

Izzy is now 8, she got baptized this past year,

Her beaming smile is the best, a grin from ear to ear,

She is getting tall and she’s very beautiful,  and also as smart as a whip,

Her cursive and drawing rock, as does every little quip.

All she wants for Christmas is a Mongoose bike, purple with little pegs

So she can ride all over the hood, with her strong & slender legs.

She loves to hang upside down on the swingset, and do lots of awesome flips,

She’s taught little Ash to do the same, we hope they never lose their grips!

You will often find her with a jumprope, jumping the day away,

If we asked what else she wants, “A puppy” is what she’d say.

She also enjoys her clogging, she will clog all around the house,

Even when Thomas is sleeping, she isn’t quiet like a mouse.

Ryan is 11, in Scouts earning merit badges & in 6th grade at school,

He pretends he doesn’t notice girls, his friends & sports still rule.

He earned his black belt in karate, we were all so very proud,

During the ceremony we cheered, & also yelled very loud.

He is playing on two city basketball teams, he actually does pretty well,

When he touched the football in his games, he always ran like (*&&^(*.

He’s planning to attend the national Scouting Jamboree nest summer,

He will be gone for two weeks, for the family that’s a bummer.

We like having him around, as he’s fun & so very pleasant,

He keeps asking dad to go hunting, maybe even for some pheasant

He’s really good at Frisbee, we think he gets that from Scott,

Speaking of Scott, he’s old now, his skills have all gone to pot!

After some more broken bones and dislocations, we think he has finally learned,

He’s had a great sporting career, but no national championships has he earned.

Ash & Tommy love to be with him, they run to greet him after work,

They make sure he fulfills his fatherly duties like playing, they’ll never let him shirk.

He’s in the midst of his fifth year of tithing settlement, we wish he was home some more,

Then he could spend even more time with the kids, so Sunny can finally hit the store.

He still runs the tiny credit union, he just helped some dear friends find their dream house,

He is also good to have around, for things like trapping & killing a mouse.

He got skunked on the Elk hunt this year, there wasn’t a spike he could shoot,

But ask him about his deer he shot, it charged him & bout knocked him out of his boot!

Sunny is as patient as ever, with Scott & the four crazy kids,

She keeps us all in line, after all, that is her Biz.

She helps run a pre-school for Ash, and shuttles our kids around,

Bon-bons & soaps are rare, spare time just cannot be found.

She is as happy as ever, for Sunny is her name,

Her voice is like an Angel, some things are just the same.

The kids think she’s pretty fabulous, Scott would have to agree,

He’s glad she said “yes” 17 years ago, while asking on bended knee.

Well, it is time to put this letter out of its misery, it must come to an end,

Know that we love and appreciate you, and are grateful for the notes you send.

We know Jesus Christ is our Savior, He lives & loves us too,

Heavenly Father loves us all, yes, even little old you.

We are grateful for a living prophet, who guides us with his love,

We are also grateful for temples, that bring the spirit from above.

Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, he saw God the Father & His Son.

The Book of Mormon is true, yes all chapters & verses, every single one

We love you and cherish your friendship, to us you are very dear,

May you each have a Merry Christmas, & a very prosperous New Year.

Scott & Sunny, Ryan, Isabelle, Ashley, Thomas,  our new kitten Midnight.
