Ryan and I were just sitting on the couch reading out of the Friend while Isabelle played with the couch pillows on the floor near us. She lined them up near the front entryway and then jumped on them (I don't know what her purpose was). The one she landed on slipped and she fell to her bottom. She glanced at me but I knew that if I acted worried about her bottom she would start to cry, so I just kept reading. Then I heard her say to herself and the pillows, "There, that's how I wanted it."
It was hilarious.

Tongue Twisters
For some bizarre reason, I often get my mords wixed up. For example, this morning I told Isabelle that her chinks were peek. Instead of pink cheeks of course. It wouldn't be so troublesome, but it is a common occurance. I like to blame that and my failing memory on the fact that I have too many things to think about. I worry a bit about getting older. I don't know how I can get more forgetful and still function!

A Great Day for a Lemonade Stand!
We scheduled a preschool Bake Sale today to end our Bread Project. The kids prepared the sign for the table and invitations to hand out in class on Tuesday. This morning we mixed up a batch of soft pretzels and rolled the dough to our hearts content. We moved out the table and chairs, put up the sign and at the appointed time carried out the lemonade and our treats. Of course, the winds were blowing. The kids were freezing! They sold a couple of cookies, grabbed one for themselves and then wanted to call it quits. Luckily we had customers come quickly after that so the kids stuck with it until I was done (all of twelve minutes later). We should have sold hot chocolate! We would have made a killing! Anyway, the kids had fun so we call it a success!
I forgot to take pictures however. Typical.
Here is the recipe for the pretzels should anyone be interested.
Mix together:
2 tsp. yeast
1 1/2 c. warm water
3 T sugar
Add to:
4 c. flour
1 t. salt
After shaping your pretzels brush with a beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.
Ryan was hoping that he would be able to do his own lemonade stand after school. Luckily he must have forgotten by the time he got home because when the SNOW started he wasn't at all distressed! Now I sit at my computer looking at a beautiful spring day. A little chilly, but definitely spring.
I remember in high school we all used to joke about it snowing on prom (as it often did). I wonder if that's going on anywhere this weekend!
Looking on the bright side however, my tulips are lovely. I really do love spring, just not when it acts more like winter.

I've been tagged!
You're feeling: quite peaceful - I had a great visit with my friend Jamee (who is a great counselor) and feel like I can look at my life (worries, hopes, dreams) with new eyes.
To your left: printer, notebook and coupons waited to be filed.
On your mind: Catching up with primary, house and (hopefully) the yard. (Also wishing that Isabelle's constant chatter, singing, etc. had volume control.)
Last meal included: Cereal with fresh blueberries (thanks, Costco!)
You sometimes find it hard to: get my work done (oh wait, that's all the time!)
The weather: Cold, but warmer than yesterday in Park City.
Something you have a collection of: Stickers, paper and pens (they don't get used nearly often enough!)
A smell that cheers you up: The smell of rain
A smell that can ruin your mood: poop
How long since you last shaved: last night
The current state of your hair: done (good job to me!!)
The largest item on your desk/workspace (not computer): printer
Your skill with chopsticks: Let's put it this way, it would be a great way to diet!
Which section you head for first in a bookstore: children's
...and after that?: fiction
Something you're craving: A date (with Scott of course)
Your general thoughts on the presidential race: I kept up on it until McCain got the nomination and now things just make me a little sick to my stomach.
How many times have you been hospitalized this year: Zero!
Favorite place to go for a quiet moment: The bathtub.
You've always secretly thought you'd be a good: Disney Princess (oddly enough)Something that freaks you out a little: sitting on the balcony near the edge at a theater or auditoruim
Something you've eaten too much of lately: treats, treats, treats
You have never: broken a bone
You never want to: deal with a major disaster (doesn't count every day living) lose my home to foreclosure, have one of my children die before me, lose my eyesight, you know...the basics.
I'm tagging anyone who is interested!

Ryan's a New Man
Ryan came home from school today complaining about his loose tooth hurting. So the wimp that I am, we headed to my mom's. As soon as we walked in and she heard what we needed she led him to the bathroom, wiggled and out it came with a quick pull. He was so cute, I could tell he was thrilled about the tooth but nervous about the fact that his gum was bleeding and not sure if he needed to cry about the little bit of pain. Grandpa came right in and deposited tooth fairy money into his pocket (much to Ryan's delight).
When we got home and showed Scott the handsome new smile Ryan said to him, "I feel like a new man!" Later he told Scott that he feels like he's 8 already. Funny boy. I waited to post this hoping I would remember to take a picture, but here it is sans picture.

This video was linked to Melanie's blog. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The tears were flowing! Check it out!
